Ramadan in Medina carries immense spiritual significance. The Prophet's Mosque serves Iftar meals to tens of thousands daily. Tarawih prayers at the mosque are transmitted worldwide. The last 10 nights of Ramadan (I'tikaf) see the mosque packed with worshippers seeking Laylat Al-Qadr.
Travel & Connectivity
Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED) serves Medina. The Haramain High-Speed Railway connects Medina to Jeddah (2 hours) and Mecca (2 hours 20 minutes). Non-Muslims may not enter the Haram (sanctuary) zone of Medina, though they can visit other parts of the city.
